Dunes Facilities and Cabins

This page contains specifics on the area, building capacities, support buildings, recreation options, and future building projects. A majority of our buildings have been renovated in the past 10 years. We are a kid’s camp and do everything we can to keep prices down and housing adequate.
Our main campus includes 15 beach side acres with a pool, gym with cabins, 2 chapels, 2 smaller meeting areas, a cafeteria, two large play fields, numerous bunk houses, and of course, the beach! Sleeping areas will hold over 300.
We are located just 115 miles from Portland and 175 from Seattle.
Long Beach - WOW – over 28 miles of a seldom crowded and highly accessible beach is just a few yards away from our main campus and walking distance from the lake. Our lake property is just 2 miles south on Loomis Lake.

Area 1 is the Gym with cabins and a view room. 15 rooms hold over 100 people. There are 4 bathrooms with showers. The 40 x 60 view room is carpeted, has a fireplace, and small snack-kitchen.

Our indoor Olympic-Sized Pool ranges in depth from 3 to 9 feet, has a slide, and a diving board. Camp rental groups have swimming pool privileges included. Lifeguards are provided to rental groups for an additional charge.

The Dining Hall holds up to 300 people. An experienced kitchen staff does an excellent job preparing meals 3x’s a day, seven days a week. They receive many compliments from campers and staff. We will cook for any group over 35.

Chapel Lawn is one of our newer cabin renovations. 6 cabins hold 72 campers. There are two restrooms with showers. It also has a central meeting area.

Next to these cabins is the New Chapel. The 80 x 50 chapel holds up to 300, with a stage and lighting. |

Playground Area– playground rebuilt recently by the R-viks, and includes slides, swings, tetherball and volleyball.

Area Three - is a small house with an extension. The 32 x 24 house has a living, dining, kitchen, bath and two bedrooms – two queen beds and 2 bunk. Adjacent are two rooms; one a 6 bunk room and the other a 12 x 18 room.

Old Chapel – is a 30 x 50 building with a small stage and pews that will seat about 150.

Staff Cabins – To be remodeled soon with individual restrooms for each room.

Directly behind the staff cabin is a new Pickle Ball Court.

Our 4-plex in the lower field holds 36 people. A bathroom with shower is located in each cabin.

Boys’ Cabins – 8 cabins hold 96 campers with a central shower and bathroom area.

The 3-plex is called our missionary cabin area. The main area is currently under construction. The cabins have a bathroom with shower and hold 8 per cabin.

The old snack shack is now a Game Room. Ping–pong, foosball, and a comfortable place to hang out.

Our Slip–n–Slide is over 70 feet long.
|

We also have Fireplace and Firepit areas.

The Dunes also has acreage on Loomis Lake, just 2 miles south of the main campus. The Lake is available during our camps for junior age and older. Rental usage at the lake is for church groups with RV’s or tents.
The lake is about one mile from the beach. Boating, fishing, swimming, volleyball and horseshoes are just some of the recreational activities available at Loomis Lake. Our dock includes a platform and the camp has paddle boats and canoes available. Three buildings at the lake include two bathrooms and a multi-purpose building. Currently we have 10 RV hook ups with 4 additional 20 amp stations.
